I really loathe legalese. The erudite (read “rude”) and condescending tone of such language is one of the biggest pains in the butt in this world. Yet, because of the world’s fallen state due to sin, mankind needs lawyers for everything. So, this is my CYA, uh, CMB notice. You know, a Cover My Butt notice. I don’t intend to sue anyone or even get into an argument. Debating with intensity can be fun, but I’m not going to ruin someone’s day or life because we happen to disagree about something. I hope you feel the same and behave likewise.

Simply, if you don’t bother me, I won’t bother you. As I always told my listeners in my radio career, if you don’t like what I’m saying, then turn the channel. There’s always someone else you can enjoy, just a click away. If you don’t like my view, my beliefs, my thoughts, my voice, my looks, or the way I express myself, that’s fine. I don’t sleep well at night, anyway, but that’s because I’m old and have chronic pain. So, you’re not going to bother me. I’ll just forgive you and pray that you’ll forgive me at the same time I ask the Lord for forgiveness, many times, each day, when I fail as a Follower of Him and need to apologize.

Most of the time, there shouldn’t be an issue, but the world is becoming even more hateful and chaotic with people demanding for absurd conditions to be met, remunerations and reparations given, free speech for some, but not others, and tolerance expected for nearly every sin in the Good Book. Well, as the Bible says, I guess many are just going to hate me like they hated Jesus, because God is my ultimate authority and I only bow to Him. I will always attempt to obey my federal, state, and local laws (as long as they don’t offend my God’s authority and will), of course, but trying to please people is becoming nearly impossible.

If you’re like me, then you hate reading these documents and, frankly, very few people actually do. I don’t blame them. However, when the love of man has grown cold as is evidenced in this world, today, as well as fulfilling prophecy from thousands of years ago as written in the Bible, then I have to play the current game just to CMB. My apologies.

And if not, then I’ll just continue to pray that the Good Lord will continue watching over me as He always has. I’m not worried. I’ve read that the Apostle Paul had a rather solid Christian ministry while in prison. Even prisoners need the Lord. And as for anything worse, well, as Paul also said, “To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” I know where I’m going and there might even be a few lawyers there.
