I swear. God is real. The Bible is true. And Jesus Christ died for you.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
– John 3:16
Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
– John 14:6
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Romans 10:9-10

A. Admit that you are a sinner.

B. Believe that Jesus died for you.
C. Confess that Jesus is Lord and ask Him to forgive you.

Humility

No matter how good a life we try to live, we still fall miserably short of being a perfect person in God’s eyes. That is because we are all sinners. Sin simply means that we can’t measure up to God’s perfect standard of righteousness. Sin separates us from God. The Bible says, “No one is good—not even one.” We cannot become who we are supposed to be without Jesus Christ, for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

Admit you're a sinner.
Realize you’re a sinner.
Believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose, again.
Believe Jesus died for you.

Belief

The penalty for sin is death, but instead of giving that death to us, Jesus suffered death for us on the cross that we might be forgiven by God. The Bible tells us that “God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is the Good News, that God loves us so much that He sent His only Son to die in our place when we least deserved it. You must believe in Jesus.

Remorse

Go the other way, towards God. Turn away from the world and turn to Jesus. The Bible tells us, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” The word repent means to change our direction in life. Instead of running from God, we can run toward Him. When we confess and repent, we are agreeing with God that we need His grace and forgiveness in our lives.

Realize Jesus died for your sins and rose, again.
Repent and turn away from your sins.
He holds your heart in His hands.
Confess Christ and He will give you a new heart.

ABC‘s of Salvation

Admit you have sinned.
Believe on Jesus Christ.
Confess Christ, publicly.

Confess

Becoming a Christian is not merely believing some creed or going to church. It is having Christ Himself take residence in your life and heart.

Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in…”
Revelation 3:20

If you would like to have a relationship with Christ, simply pray this prayer and mean it in your heart:

Rejoice!

If you have sincerely prayed the prayer, above, or something similar, then congratulations and welcome into the Family of God. We rejoice with you. Heaven itself is rejoicing with you!

“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
Luke 15:10  NKJV
Confess Christ to the world and receive a new heart.
Rejoice in the Lord, forever.

Saving faith produces a forever changed life. The Bible says we are saved by Grace through Faith. Grace alone through Faith alone in Christ alone. Salvation is a gift from God and cannot be earned, so that no one may boast.

I Prayed To Receive Christ

Is that it?

Receive

Your journey as a Born Again follower (disciple) of Jesus Christ has just begun. A newborn baby needs nourishment and care to grow, so you, too, will need God’s Word, the Bible, to learn and grow in your faith.

You should also seek out a good church (a group of other true believers in Jesus Christ) that believes, obeys, and teaches the unchangeable Word of God. There you will find support and encouragement as your faith grows.

There will be battles ahead, but you will not have to fight them alone. Let us know that you have prayed this prayer and how we can pray for you!

“Send me a postcard,
drop me a line
Stating point of view
Indicate precisely what you mean to say
Yours sincerely, wasting away
Give me your answer,

fill in a form
Mine for evermore
Will you still need me,

will you still feed me
When I’m 64?”

Who am I?

God knows. He knew me before I was born. I used to think I knew, but that’s when I was lost in the world. Lost in myself. Lost but not forgotten.

I am 64. In the Year of Our Lord 2024. When Enoch was 65, he begat Methuselah. Begat means the wife did all the work and the man gets the credit, right? Then, Enoch walked with the Lord for the next 300 years before God took him. Does that mean Enoch didn’t walk with the Lord before his son was born?

Did the birth of his son change him so dramatically? I can’t wait to find out when I speak with Enoch face to face. I certainly don’t intend to have any more children. Not at my age. I can barely keep up with the grandchildren.

If more of us walked with the Lord before we begat children, then taught them to walk with the Lord, well, the world would look a lot less wicked. It would be a much more pleasant experience. I seem to recall the birth of another Son that made an impact in the eyes of His Father.

When I am 65, will the Good Lord take me? God only knows. For my remaining time on Earth, however, I will seek Him, always. I will pray without ceasing. I will love Him with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength. And I will fail Him, miserably, everyday. Then I will ask forgiveness and in His love, mercy, and grace He will forgive me, for He is faithful and true.

Once, I was lost. Now, I am found. And I don’t want to stray from the path, again, so I choose to follow Jesus as faithfully as I know how. As I walk and talk with Him, I’ll share whatever He allows. If you enjoy the conversation, feel free to share it with others.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.
Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces.”
For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good.
Psalm 122:6-9
